I am conducting research to place Mt Pleasant Methodist Church (est. 1833), WRIGHT Rd.,Caledonia, MS, on the National Register of Historical Places (NRHP) and need to compare this Church to Piney Grove UM Church(est. 1828) on Steens-Vernon road. In this research, I find that there is another Church, Pine Grove UM, 128 Wyndbrook Bend, Columbus, MS that remainds in the North ALA Conference of UM Church. Any insight into these 2 Churches to include age of existing buildings,current use(active?) and why a Church in MS would still be in the North ALA COnference of the UM Church. Thank you.
