Kirby Lee "Jimmy" and Ann Cook Spurlock

Kirby and Ann were married in Hattiesburg, June 4, 1918, where Kirby was teaching at Mississippi Normal College and Ann was daughter of the college president. I am looking for them in 1920 and 1930 and cannot find them in the census. Kirby served in the Army in WW I. Later he worked for the state (tax commission, I think) in Columbus where Ann taught home economics for over 30 years at Lee High School. For those reasons, I think they were in Lowndes County, but cannot find them.

Any information would be appreciated.
