Am researching the family of ELLIOT AUGUSTUS STOKES who came to Madison County in the 1840's from South Carolina. He married in Madison County, SARAH AUGUSTA TAYLOR, the daughter of J. ALLEN TAYLOR and EMILY HARRELL, who were from Nash County, NC., and moved to Madison County in the 1840"s.
E. A. STOKES AND SARAH AUGUSTA TAYLOR STOKES were my great grandparents. I would like more data on the Taylor family, and my great grandmother's siblings.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
