I am looking for the parents of EDWARD PRICE MAYFIELD b abt 1857/1858 Madison Co, MS ? He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad in Lafayette, LA from 1881-1898, when he removed to Houston, TX He continued working for the railroad until he died in 1909 from pneumonia. His wife was Olympe Neveu who he married in Lafayette.
I have researched the MAYFIELDs family of Madison, MS and this is what I have. Please write if you know more about this family, or the possible parents of Edward Price Mayfield.

Heirs are, wife Ellen, children Israel Price, the late Dianna Wilkerson, Isaac K. Mayfield, James H. Mayfield, William I. F. Mayfield, James P. Mayfield, Johanna F. Lambeth, Octavia P. Liggett. Grandchildren names are: Sarah Elizabeth, Nancy M. Wilkerson, Thomas S. Wilkerson, Henry A. Wilkerson, William W. Wilkerson. William I. F. , son of Isaac named the lawful guardian of the said three Wilkerson boys. Executors named are wife, Ellen and son Isac K. Mayfield. Witnessed by V. H. Fargate, Wm. A. Walker, will probated March 1853.

Since Isaac and Thomas were living in the county at this time, this researcher wonders what household where they living in? It was not Williams as the people in his house match the number of his children.

The Isaac who moved to Madison,MS was about age 48-50. A younger Isaac age 20-30 on page 18-136 has 12010 males- 01101 females; he is probably the son of William.
