I guess you know Mississippi didn't require any death records kept until 1912. Lots of counties didn't WANT records that higher govt. could come snooping into (re epidemics, etc.) so they didn't keep til required by law. Some didn't even record them all then! (I have same problem - the MS person I'm researching died 1910. No death record, no Funeral Home. Just cemetery headstone for clue. How about churches? Any chance he was Catholic? that would save you. Good luck, Jan
