I've been trying to locate the J J DEAR cemetery
in Madison County. Just three graves, JJ DEAR his wife
Effey and their daughter Effey. The Madison County
Genweb site description reads...........

Location: This cemetery is located across the street from Greenwood Cemetery, just south of Camden, Ms.
Description: It is the Dear Family cemetry and has only three graves.
Dear Effey Wife of John Dear.
Dear Effey Daughter of J. & E. Dear.
Dear John, Sr. 1765 - 1861 Note: There is no marker at this grave.

After two trips to the area, using county maps, The only "Greenwood Cemetery" that I can locate is actually about 5-6 miles "NORTHEAST" of the town Camden on Firetower Rd. I did walk the (thicket) woods for a couple of hours across from this location with no luck in finding the DEAR graves. The Greenwood Cemetery is largely CAUTHEN family
graves.
Although there may be a Greenwood Cemetery just south of Camden as the county Genweb site states,,If anyone knows where, I would appreciate information in the exact location so I might locate the J J DEAR and family graves site. Even better, if you know where the DEAR graves are,,,
JJ Dear was my gggg-uncle.
