I am looking for information on my great grandfather, Zachariah Gafford. He was born about 1797 and I believe he is buried in the Richland cemetery, in Holmes County. His youngest son, Jesse Mercer Gafford,who was born in 1836 and died in 1916, was my grandfather. My father was George Louis Gafford, who was born in 1894 and died in 1960. I have some conflicting information about Zachariah's wife, either Sally, Sarah, or Henrietta, who may all be the same person. Does anyone have any information or suggestions on where I might find out more about Zachariah's family? I believe he lived for a while in Camden, where some of his children were born.
