Am seeking information on the following: J. W. McIntyre, born about 1848, in Mississippi. He married Laura J. Brown (Stokes) in 1874, in Madison County, MS. Laura, born between 1849-1851, was the daughter of John W. Brown and Mary Mabry. She was first married in 1868, in Madison County, MS, to Columbus (C. F.)Stokes of South Carolina.They had a son,Frank E. Stokes, born abt.1872. With her second husband, Laura had three sons, Willie McIntyre, John N. McIntyre, and O. Alva McIntyre.
Where did these descendants go? They disappeared after the 1880 census in Madison County, MS.
Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated.
