Seeking information on George Moore of 1800 Robeson Co., NC. Wife Elizabeth M., possible maiden name Pope, daughter of Henry Pope.
Known children: Alfred G.(died 1837 Hinds Co., MS), Eliza Ann (1803-1863 St. Tammany Parish, LA, William H. Moore (Hinds Co., MS), Clarissa Moore (Hinds & Copiah Cos., MS) Willis A. Moore (Texas Historical Sources claim he died in the Alamo). Clarissa married Ansel Powell. Alfred married Frances Mikell. Eliza Ann married Charles Y. Kimball. William H. Moore is listed in land and census records as Henry and Harry Moore.
Court records seem to indicate the wife of George Moore moved with her children to Marion Co., MS prior to 1820. George was deceased before 1827. I'm not sure if he died in Robeson County. The court record in Marion County, MS only has George Moore of Robeson County, deceased.
