Karen, thanks for info about Henry Cook. I had him born 1790 in Bulloch County, Georgia. I went to Statesboro, the County Seat seeking record of his birth, hoping to establish exact date of birth and parents. I was told that birth records from that era had been destroyed by fire so still don't know parents or exact date of birth. Where did you get 1788? I have Henry's children as Benjamin J. Cook, 1812, Martha Cook, 1820, Abasha Cook, 1829, and Nancy Cook 1836. Don't know about this Henry, Jr. Where did you find Henry Jr. as son? Your list of Abasha's children is same as mine. Yes, I am descended from Albert S. I did find marriage license for Henry and Martha Turner dated 14 Jul 1810 in the Statesboro courthouse. Records 1795 - 1875 Book A, page 143. I found record that Henry Cook co-founded the Lower Lotts Creek Church in Bulloch County, Georgia on Sept 13, 1801. Could this Henry be the father of the Henry born 1788 or 1790? Very young to found a church.
