Walter "Doc" Richmond, 74, died March 15, 2007 at Alliance Health Care System in Holly Springs. He was born April 2, 1932, in Marshall County to the late Billie Richmond and Ruby Wells Richmond. He was a retired farmer and a member of Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in Red Banks.
Services were at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in Red Banks with burial in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home of Holly Springs was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his niece and caregiver, Laney Mae Jones of Holly Springs; one sister, Lizzie Mae Boyd of Holly Springs; one brother, Broadie Richmond of Kansas City, Kan.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Lovaner Daniels, Pauline Tunstall, Johnnie Chatman and Nellie Parker; five brothers, Crockett Richmond, Willie Richmond, Billie Richmond, Bennie Richmond and Ed Richmond.
