Cleave Mae Phillips Eason, 68, formerly of Byhalia, died March 15, 2007 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville in Collierville, Tenn. She was born June 15, 1938, in Marshall County to Cleo Sanderson Phillips and the late Rufus Phillips Sr. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Valley M.B. Church at Byhalia.
Services were March 24 at Union Valley M.B. Church with burial in the church cemetery. J.F. Brittenum & Son Funeral Home of Holly Springs was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Eason Jones and Dianne Eason, both of Memphis; three sons, Jackie Martin of Byhalia, David Martin of Memphis and Fred Eason of Milwaukee, Wis.; a grandson she reared as her own son, Kevin Williams of Memphis; eight other grandchildren; her mother, Cleo Phillips of Byhalia; six sisters, Bernell Nailor of Memphis, Juanita Street, Maxine McClarty, Martha J. Phillips, Carol Lawson and Mary Tunstall, all of Byhalia; three brothers, M.L. Phillips and Earnest Phillips, both of Byhalia, and Robert James Phillips of Aurora, Ill.
