Thelma Plunk, 64, died June 25, 2007, at Baptist Hospital in Collierville. She was born Oct. 12, 1942, in Marshall County to James Woodrow Garrison and Della Scott Garrison. She was a member of Mt. Zion Taska Church and a home health care worker.
Services wer at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Red Banks. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home of Holly Springs was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, John Wesley Plunk of Byhalia; six children, Yvonne Hardaway, Barbara Moore, Wanda Hardaway and Michelle Wilkins, all of Byhalia, and Martin Hardaway and Charlotte Jones, both of Olive Branch; five brothers, James Garrison of Chicago, Issac Garrison and Edward Garrison of Byhalia, the Rev. Robert Garrison and Charles Garrison of Memphis; five sisters, Clara Harris of Byhalia, Verna Hardaway of Memphis, Regina Martin of Cordova, Tenn., Margie Green of Holly Springs and Vernester Yancey of Collierville, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
