Doyle F. Sutherland, 81, died June 29, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was born May 10, 1926 to James E. Sutherland and Corine McElhany. He was a marine biologist and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Graveside services were July 7 at Camp Cemetery in Camp, Arkansas.
Survivors included one son, Dennis Sutherland of Seattle, Wash.; one daughter, Ketra Kay Sutherland of Napa, Calif.; two sisters, Nila Gilstrap of Holly Springs and Verneil Case of Sommerville, S.C.; five grandchildren.
