I am looking for a tie between the Robinson and Sloan families. Both were in the West Point area of Mississippi. Frances Taylor Sloan was born about 1848 I think in Alabama. She is the sister of my great great grandmother.
My grandmother got a letter from a Susan Robinson Bell in 1969 asking family history. I would dearly love to know what my grandmother told her! All I have is Susan's response.
I also have a centennial book on West Point, Mississippi that lists several Robinsons. These names have been underlined by my grandmother:
W. A. Robinson Tax Assessor 1928-1948
A Harmon Robinson Tax Assessor 1956-1960
W. W. Robinson selectman for city 1872-1876
Any clues would be appreciated. I'm trying to figure out if Frances really did marry a Robinson and if so who!
