Thank you for the death info on Louis/Lewis.

I am aware of that link you gave. It was posted by a cousin of mine, probably info that I gave him. The post-it notation includes my info, before I obtained the birth records of Minnie and Louis. Minnie's birth record was filed in New Orleans, LA in 1860, however it consists of a statement made by her mother to the effect that Minnie was born in Mississippi in 1857. The family was in New Orleans in the 1860 census. I am still trying to locate them between 1850-1860, and trying to find out why they were in MS in 1857 (living there? visiting friends?).
