I am interested in a David Myers of Mississippi. The 1830 census shows him in Copiah Co., MS 20111001 and the 1840 census shows him in Newton Co., MS 111000001. Naturally, the courthouse burned along with the records. I'm not sure he was the individual I'm searching for.

I am actually looking for the father of John W. Myers who was not the David Myers of Perry County, MS. John W. Myers had two sons, James O. Myers b. MS 1826 and David V. b. MS 1829. They moved to Wharton Co., TX in the early 1840's and by 1850 had a $50,000 estate. John W. Myers died in Wharton Co., TX in 1846. He was born between 1800 and 1810. I do not know where he was born and I'm not sure who his father was. He was in Wayne Co., MS in 1830 and Holmes Co., MS in 1840.
