William L. Webb died 20 Jan 1904.

Two articles found in Quincy,Adams Co.,IL old newspapers. Quincy,IL is about 20 miles north of Hannibal,MO across
the Mississippi River.


The Quincy Daily Whig article
Friday Edition 22 Jan 1904 page:1(front page):

DROPPED DEAD WHILE AT WORK

HANNIBAL,MO., Jan. 21.---
W. L. Webb,living three miles west of Saverton, dropped dead about 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon while piling cord wood in the timber. The coroner was summoned fron New London, but had not arrived yet when parties came to this city for a coffin. The cause of the death is supposed to be heart trouble.

The deceased was formerly a resident of this city.

DROPPED DEAD IN THE TIMBER

HANNIBAL, MO., Jan. 22 --
W. L. Webb, aged 59, living three miles west of Saverton, dropped dead while piling cord wood in the timber. The deceased was formerly a resident of this city.
He leaves a widow and six children.
