I am looking for more information on James R. McDowell and Jane McKee Mills' children. They had sons (among others) Edward and David. I have found an Edward McDowell in Marshall county Mississippi who married a Katherine Sherwood Bonner but don't know if this is the same person (they were in Holly Springs and Sherwood Bonner left Edward and went to Boston and became a writer and had one child Lillian).
Edward's brother married a Ruth and I believe this to be Ruth Bonner who I believe to be a sister of above Katherine Sherwood.
I found an 1860 Mississippi, Marshall county, Holly Springs census where is listed: Charles Bonner (44), Mary A. Bonner (32), Kate S. Bonner (11), Ruth M. Bonner (8), Same W. Bonner (6), and Anne L. Bonner (1).
