G.W. Bratton in Yalobusha Co

In 1838, G.W. Bratton was made overseer of the ‘Yellowbushia Plantation” owned by James K. and William H. Polk. (Yalobusha Co History and Records, Vol.1, pp. 14 & 15). He died on 7-2-1839 in Yalobusha Co. Does anyone have information on this Bratton? Would appreciate anything.
