I have scanned a document found in my great-grandfather's bible. The document was printed in 1899. It is a message to the Democratic Voters of Mississippi, from J. L. Gillespie, announcing his candidacy for State Treasurer.

Page 2 of the document is entitled "Sketch of the Life of J. L. Gillespie, Candidate for State Treasurer," by W. H. Orr, MD, Vice-President of Peoples' Savings Bank, Houston, TX.
