Albert Gallatin Pace's father David Walker Pace whose will I posted to you.

Albert Gallatin PACE [Parents] 1 was born 16 Jun 1827 in Giles Co., TN. He died Dec 1905 in Tishomingo Co, MS and was buried in Friendshiip Cemetery. Albert married Eliza Jane BELUE about 1855 in Tishomingo Co, MS.

Enlisted Sept 7, 1862 in 12th Regiment Mississippi Cavalry Co B, Capt. I.J. Warren's Company, Partisan Rangers. He was a prisoner of war and captrued Sept. 23, 1863 in Henderson Co, TN. He was sent to Fort Delaware April 12, 1864 and exchanged Sept. 18, 1864. He went on sick furlough Sept. 27, 1864 and was still on furlough when the war ended. (Taken from Veterans Records)
Albert Gallatin Pace was elected Tax Assessor after the WBTS, but reconstruction divided the county and installed carpetbaggers and scalawags in office. His tenure ended when the county was divided.

On 1870 and 1880 Tishomingo Co, MS census. A male named Carsey? Pace, age 17 MS is in household in 1870, possibly a son.
Buried in Friendship Cemetery, Tishomingo Co. Tamara Maddan says middle name is Gallatin.
MS Confederate Pension Application submitted for Albert by Mary A. Pace in 1924, 12th MS Cavalry, Tishimingo Co.
