Mary Christeen Pace Criddle, 70, died June 5, 2008, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born Dec. 25, 1937, to Hosey Lee Pace and Helen McKinley Hand Pace in Monroe County. She graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1955. She was born and raised in Monroe County before moving to Birmingham, Ala., and lived for 20 years, and then moved back to Hamilton and lived the past six years. She was a seamstress in several factories. She attended New Prospect Baptist Church.
Graveside services were at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery with Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Melvin Dewayne Criddle; one sister, Nellie Herndon; two brothers, Thomas Pace and Larry “Pete” Pace; one great-grandson, Jason Holloway.
