Ruby Smith Nolen, 87, died June 8, 2008, at the Aurora Australis Lodge in Columbus. A lifelong resident of Monroe County, she was born Nov. 3, 1920, to Charlie Smith and Lucille Boyd Smith. She was a health care provider at the Care Center of Aberdeen and a member of Hamilton Baptist Church.
Services were at the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Curtis Nolen; two sons, Joey Nolen and Jackie Nolen.
