Betty Jean Gilmore Reynolds, 63, died May 10, 2008, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born Oct. 30, 1944, in Lamar County, Ala., to Murry and Effie Mae Gilmore. She lived most of her life in Monroe County, but had resided in Plantersville for the past 15 years. She was retired employee of Alan White Mfg. in Shannon and a Baptist. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, reading and working in her garden.
Services were May 11, 2008, at the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with burial in Ingomar Cemetery.
Survivors included her husband of 15 years, Clarence Reynolds of Plantersville; four daughters, Barbara (Jerry) Clement of Saltillo, Judy Ray (fiancé, Mark Brown) of Bigbee, Melinda (Richard) Taylor of Nettleton and Pam Johnson of Okolona; three stepdaughters, Patricia Skelton, Brenda Hubbard and Sandra Cherry, all of West Point; one sister, Irene (Billy) Tate of Bigbee; two brothers, Odene Gilmore of Aberdeen and Pat (Brenda) Gilmore of Peaceful Valley; 10 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thelbert Johnson, and her parents.
