Ora Lee Smith, 90, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Pioneer Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as an usher. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Sunrise Saving Club. She attended school in Monroe County. She was an avid Amory Panthers football fan. She was a hard worker and a mother to many in the community of Amory.
Services were at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the United Memorial Gardens. Darden and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included two sons, Cleadis N. Smith and D.L. Smith Jr., both of Detroit, Mich.; one daughter, Lee Ora Smith of Jackson; one brother, Ralph Fuller of Oak Park, Mich.; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
