Jewel Easter Ransom, 80, died July 23, 2008, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. She was born Sept. 21, 1927, to Burley Payton Easter and Della Francis Easter in Aberdeen. She was retired from Sharp Garment Plant. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Aberdeen.
Services were at the First Pentecostal Church with burial in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen was in charge.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Hamilton “Hamp” Ransom; two sisters, Maudie Allen and Adell Franklin; and two brothers, Claudie Easter and Joe Easter.
