Sandra Carolyn Brewer, 68, died May 5, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A lifelong resident of Hamilton, she was born March 27, 1941, to Hoyle C. Brewer and Mantie Smith Brewer. She was a graduate of Aberdeen High School and Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus. She retired after 27 years as a caseworker at the Monroe County Welfare Department. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
Services were at the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with burial in New Prospect Cemetery.
Survivors included two sisters, Patsy Haralson of Memphis and Sharon Self of Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
