Jessie Ray Foster, 67, died May 18, 2009, at his home in Hamilton. He was born June 18, 1941, in Amory to Jessie R. Foster and Mildred Lawrence Hendrix. He lived in Hamilton for the past 50 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam. He retired as a supervisor from ITT Bell & Gossett in Morton Grove, Ill.
Services were at the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife, Dorothy Fay Cook Foster of Hamilton; three daughters, Arlene Hissong of Amory, Tammy Blakeney (Eddie) of Houston and Tina Smith (James) of Hamilton; one son, Chris Foster of Hamilton; one brother, Earnest Hendrix of Nettleton; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Sandy Ray Foster.
