Vivian Jenell Miller Roberts, 79, died May 21, 2009, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. She was born Aug. 27, 1929, in Monroe County to Robert Lee Miller and Beatrice Jones Miller. A lifelong resident of Monroe County, she was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Methodist Church. She was a trustee and treasurer for Beeks Cemetery Committee for 35 years. She was a news reporter for the Aberdeen Examiner and the Amory Advertiser for more than 50 years.
Services were at the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with burial in Beeks Cemetery.
Survivors included one daughter, Wanda Roberts Peden (Milton) of Aberdeen; one sister, Jean Renfro (Thomas) of Greenwood Springs; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H.D. "Herbert" Roberts; a daughter, Flora Yvonne Roberts; a sister, Mildred Smith; and a brother, Robert Gordon Miller.
