Taylor O誰eil Smith, 14, died May 15, 2009, in Monroe County. He was born Nov. 20, 1994, to Kris R. Smith and Angela Flippo Smith. He was a 7th grade student at Smithville School and a member of the Smithville Baptist Church. He played Jr. High football and was the only member of the power lifting team to go to state competition. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing pool. He enjoyed spending time with his football/power lifting coach, Bubba Tacker.
Services were at the Smithville Baptist Church with burial in the Thompson Cemetery. E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included his father, Kris R. Smith (Donia Newsome) of Bethlehem; his mother, Angela Flippo Smith of Amory; grandparents, Jimmy R. and Teresa Smith of Bethlehem and Tommy Flippo of Tupelo; his great-grandmother, Etoy Chism of Wren; and two brothers, Randle and Damian.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Karen Flippo; and great grandparents, Jimmy F. Smith, Marie Reeves and Marcell and Burnie Jones.
