Barbara Wigginton Branham, 74, died June 5, 2009, at the Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. She was born Feb. 27, 1935, in Monroe County to Edward and Cleo Dill Wigginton. She married Hubert Branham in 1966; he died in 1998. She worked for Glenn Mfg. and Amory Garment Co. before her retirement. She was a member of Gregory Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, helping others, collecting angels and her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with nurial in the Haughton Memorial Park.
Survivors included two sons, Charley Branham (Anita) of Amory and Robert Culpepper (Carol) of Okolona; two daughters, Jenny Tacker (Bill) of Smithville and Felecia Higgins (Tommy) of Amory; two brothers, Hubert Wigginton (Pam) and James Wigginton (Ethel), both of Smithville; three sisters, Marie Sanderson of Amory, Mildredge Kendrick of Smithville and Faye Pearson of Amory; a special niece; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Sue Wigginton Hathcock; and an infant brother.
