Carolina – Billy Clinton Hester, 70, died June 7, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born March 1, 1939, in Monroe County to James Ruble and Gladys Sanders Hester. He married Peggy Linda Hallmark in 1959. He worked in concrete construction for APAC. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mechanic work and spending time with his grandchildren.
Services were at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with burial in the Haughton Memorial Park.
Survivors included his wife of 50 years, Linda Hester of Carolina; three sons, Doug Hester (Melissa) of New Salem, David Hester (Wanda) of Carolina and Dale Hester (Gloria) of Peaceful Valley; one brother, Nolan Hester (Ann) of Cason; three sisters, Ruth Enlow of Aberdeen, Sara Nash (Robert) of Hatley and Ann Harlow (Billy Wayne) of Bigbee; eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Betty Jo Stanford.
