Roy Plunkett, 45, of West Point, died February 11, 1973 at his home after an extended illness. Services were February 13 at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel in West Point with burial in Pierce Chapel Cemetery in Smithville. Mr. Plunkett was a truck driver and veteran of World War II.
Survivors included his wife, Mavis Plunkett; two sons, Luther and James Plunkett, both of West Point; one daughter, Mrs. Linda Sue Turnage of West Point; one grandchild; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Plunkett of Smithville; five sisters, Mrs. Jewell Cummings and Mrs. Edith Stegall, both of Lakewood, Calif., Mrs. Kay DeWitt, Mrs. Bobby Janey, and Mrs. Jenny Cantrell, all of Amory.
