Ouida Jane Pierce Wilemon, 76, died June 21, 2009, at the Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. She was born July 14, 1932, in Brooksville to Yancy and Verma Miles Pierce. She married Bobby Wilemon in 1948. She was homemaker and a member of the Rocky Springs Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Amory Manor Nursing Home and she had worked for Chris Tony Bakery as a cake decorator. She enjoyed hummingbirds, watching deer and crocheting.
Services were at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with burial in the Haughton Memorial Park.
Survivors included her husband, Bobby Wilemon of Nettleton; one son, Eddie Wilemon (Dian) of Amory; four daughters, Barbara Curry (Mike) of Pensacola, Fla., Lynn Burt (Ricky) of Nettleton, Teresa Vandiver (Philip Elam) of Amory and Tonya Hipps Pharr of Nettleton; one sister, Bettye Mixon (Rhonnie) of Amory; a special niece, Pam Begin of Massachusetts; 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Joe Pierce; and a granddaughter, Kandi Wilemon.
