Services for Estella Hadley, 86, were held at the Smiths Chapel Holiness Church with burial in Burns Memorial Cemetery in Athens. Darden and Sons Funeral Home of Amory was in charge of the arrangements.
Estella Hadley was born Oct. 12, 1922, to John and Rosie Lee McPhearson in Monroe County. She attended school in Athens. She was a member of the Smiths Chapel Holiness Church in Aberdeen, and a member of the Mother's Board, Kitchen Committee and Sewing Club. She was a great cook and a mother to many in the community.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Luke Hadley; and several brothers and sisters.
