Thomas Allen Camp, 70, died June 28, 2009, in Aberdeen. He was born Oct. 5, 1938, in Monroe County to Dock and Dessie Pickle Camp. He married Sallie Thompson in 1958. He worked as a machinist at Walker Mfg. and Holley Performance, and as a security officer for Securitas at Holley Performance. He was a member of the East Amory Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Cole.
Services were at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with burial in the Greenbrier Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sallie Thompson Camp of Amory; one son, Timmy; four sisters, Earline Summers of Missouri, Ruth Camp of Becker, Ludeen Gray (Kirk) of Becker and Ruby Gray (Billie) of Amory; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Minnie Mae Adams, Lonie Bell Howard, Ila Puckett and Opal Camp; and five brothers, Roy Lee Camp, James Camp, Trannie Camp, Dannie “D.C.” Camp and Hobert Camp.
