Thank you for responding. My g-grandmother was married to William A. MANN. When she married my g-grandfather, her license had Sinia Addie MANN (b. 21 March 1853 TX). On the 1880 Wood Co., TX census she and William A. Mann 55 b. TN or MS, were married. Sinia was 28 b TX. There was a "son" 5 living with them. There was an insanity hearing 2 Aug 1884 which declared William A. MANN insane. Neither George nor Sinia were mentioned in the court records by name. There were two witness who testified that MANN was irrational, etc. One was J. J. MINSHEW who had known him for 12 years & says William A. MANN is a native of Winona, MS. He has there _____(?) worth $200. The other was William A. ANDERSON who testified he has threatened to kill himself, wife and child. I can not locate a marriage record for William A. MANN and Sinia Addie ______. I would love to find her maiden name. I find both TN & MS listed on census records as birth place of William A. Mann. Sinia m. William Milner ANDERSON 5 Feb 1885. SHORTLY afterward, she had twins 17 July 1885. Twins 1886 Triiplets 1888 at which time Sinia died. Only two children survived the 7 children born. If you can locate any land records, marriage records or some clue as where to start I would appreciate it. Sinia Addie may have been a nick name. William A. Mann may have been married prior to Sinia. George W. Mann (son), did not go to live with Sinia and William M. Anderson. With the age difference, I wonder if William A. MANN was previously married. More than you wanted to know, but it is a real mind teaser. Thanks, Beverley Notify Administrator about this message?
