My great great great grandfather, David N. Nelson, was born 1808 in SC. He married Jane in MS.
She was born 1810 in SC.
In the 1840 census, David Nelson (30s) was listed with wife (30s) in Kemper, Mississippi with children son(5-10), son(under 5) and 2 daughters(under 5).
In the 1850 census, David Nelson (42) of SC was listed as a farmer and Jane (40) of SC lived in Neshoba, Mississippi with children William(19) of AL, Robert(15) of MS, Mary(12), Jevsey(10), David(8), Catherine(6), John(4) and Joseph(4 mo).
On Sept 1, 1860, in the 1860 census, David Nelson (51) of SC was listed as a farmer and Jane (49) of SC lived in Neshoba, Mississippi with children William(29) of AL, Robert A(24) of MS, Mary J(21), David N(17), Catherine E(15), John J(12) and Joseph MD(10).
