Anne,

I have some information on the Josuah Bishop family as
two of his children married into our families. The 1880
Newton County Census for this family is as follows:

Bishop, Josuah 53 AL
Mary Ann 45 AL
John F 21 MS
Liberty J 19 MS
Josuah E 17 MS
Dora A 15 MS
James E 12 MS
Steven A 10 MS
Ruben A 8 MS
Laura 5 MS
Lindsey D 2 MS

Josuah and Mary Ann Bishop's daughter Dora Allen Bishop married William Newton Covington, the son of William W and Mary Jane Covington who are in our line. Joshua's son Lindsey D Bishop married Lula E Pace the granddaughter of
William and Mary jane Covington.

1900 Newton Co., MS Beat3, Dist 52:

Bishop, Joshaway 73
Mary A 64
James E 32
Daniel R 28 (must be Ruben)
Lindsey D 22
I do not live in Mississippi so I don't have cemetery
info. If I can be of further help to you e-mail me.

Maurine Smith
