I am trying to find out something about a Gardner Jones who was listed in the Newton County census of 1850 as born in Georgia about 1798. What I would like to know is whether this Gardner Jones was the same one living in Noxubee County in 1840. Penelope Lloyd married Gardner Jones in 1819 in Georgia and nothing more is known about them as far as I know. However, Penelope's father, Levi Lloyd was living in Noxubee County in 1840/1850 and I expect the Gardner Jones found there was Penelope's husband. The age of Gardner Jones in Newton County in 1850 fits the Gardner Jones in 1840 in Noxubee County.
