Mattie Day, dau. of Zachariah Day, married 15 May 1899 in Newton Co. to Lumpkin Parkes Adams, son of Singleton Allen Adams and Sarah Milligan Bond of Elbert Co., GA.In 1900 they were in Leake Co., MS with one dau. Claude Adams. By 1910 Lumpkin had been killed in a railroad accident, possibly in Hattiesburg, and Mattie was the head of household in Hattiesburg with children Claude, Lowery and Evelyn and her father Zachariah Day.By1920 Mattie had remarried to William C. Little, had additional children of Mildred and Jessie Little, and still living in Hattiesburg with children Claude, Lowery and Evelyn Adams. By 1930 William C. Little, Mattie, children Mildred, Jessie A. and Robert Little, and Evelyn Adams, were living in Rankin Co., MS. Would like any info on this family and to make contact with any living descendants.
