I am researching the Barnett Family which I found in the 1860 census for Newton County. They lived next door to the Caldwell, Carter, Mark and McGee families.
This is the transcription:
1860 Newton, Garlandsville, MS
James Barnet B: 1824 LA Male age: 36
Phoebie Barnet B: 1826 AL Female age:34
Malissa Barnet B: 1850 MS Female Age: 10
James Barnet B: 1854 AR Male Age : 6
John Barnet B: 1858 MS Male Age: 2
Daniel Barnet B: 1833 MS Female Age 27
These may be my relatives but it is difficult to tell withoug more info. Is anyone involved in Newton County research related to these Barnett's? Any assistance is greatly appreciated as I have been researching this family for a long time and any breakthrough would be wonderful!
