I think all of the replies I got to this query were from people who saw it on the ancestry.com forum, but in case anybody saw it here and is interested in what I found when I visited Starkville Friday, here's what I just posted on the message board at ancestry.com:
Some of you may be interested in my visit to the Old Presbyterian Cemetery in Starkville on Friday. I was amazed when I saw it -- amazed because it is very much visible from Louisville Street, with a sign clearly identifying it. I can't believe that I had no memory at all of ever having seen it.
I did end up taking some pictures there -- showed up for the closing on a house-sale with cemetery gunk all over my feet. The pictures are now on Find-a-Grave. Names on the tombstones include Ames, Bardwell, Bell, Duggaus, Fort, Harvey, Owens, Rogers.
