I am hoping to find some info about my great grandmother, Charlotte Adeline "Lottie" Brady Morgan Whitman, that will solve our family mystery....What happened to Granny Whitman's first husband, James Allen Morgan??
JA Morgan married Lottie in Newton County, MS, on Dec5, 1882. They had four children: Mary Sally, Charles Hilton, Isaac Ransom and John Hubert. James Allen disappeared sometime in 1890 and Lottie married Sam Whitman. They moved to Perry County and then later settled in the McLaurin area of Forrest County. I've been trying to figure out which James Morgan who was in the area is "our" James Morgan for three years. Haven't learned much but some humility!! If there's anybody out there who's heard any old stories about these folks, please contact me and tell them to me!! I'd like to know WHY the move from Jasper County down to Perry County. There were quite a few Morgans(that I can't find a link to!!) who moved at the same time.
Thanks for "listening", JUDY e-mail:LMAHON@MSN.COM
