My Byrd research is second hand but from a reliable source.
William Sutton Byrd b. abt. 1789, Sumter Dist., S.C. d. 7-28-1845 Jackson County, MS He is listed in Jackson County Personal Tax rolls for 1825, near John Byrd, Elam Byrd & Sarah Byrd, his mother. He is listed in Jackson County, MS census 1840. He married in Perry County, MS 1799 Elizabeth Littleton. I have not looked for her grave in Perry County.
