Amy Ruth Britt, 80, died Feb. 8, 2008, at North Mississippi Medical Center Extended Care of Pontotoc. Born Jan. 16, 1928, in Pontotoc County, she was the daughter of Hiram Lester Gregory and Gertrude Huey.
The widow of Doyce Britt Sr., she worked as a nurses aide for Extended Health Care and Austin's Nursing Home in Pontotoc. She was a member of the Verona Church of Christ.
Services were at Clark Funeral Home. Burial was in Hartwell-Tutor Cemetery.
She was preceded by one sister, Maggie Tutor; one brother, Harold Gregory; two sons, J.C. Britt and Larry Britt; and one granddaughter, Meagan Britt.
