There is a historian who knows all about the Cherry Creek Church and community who still lives in Pontotoc. I met him Sunday, 17, May 2008. His friend, Virginia Dillard, works at the Museum (old Post Office) in downton Pontotoc. All the documents pertaining to history of the town and folks there, buildings, churches, schools, are housed there. You can locate her by contacting the Pontotoc Library in downtown Pontotoc. They may have a number for her and she or the genealogy librarian there can tell you where you might locate the minutes you are seeking. If you are willing, and you do find them, in your research, can you please email me if you find any reference to and South family members, particularly Gabriel, or his wife or children.
