James A. "Croc" Crockett, 54, died April 21, 2008, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich. He was formerly of Booneville and the son of the late Rev. George A. Crockett and Virgie Young Crockett. He was an employee of Chrysler and a deacon at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
Services were at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Perry Mount Cemetery. Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home of Pontiac, Mich., was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included his wife, Vickie Crockett of Lake Orion, Mich.; three sons, Joshua Shinault of Booneville, and Jared Crockett and Jordy Crockett of Lake Orion; one daughter, Ebony Crockett of Lake Orion; two sisters, Linda (Willie) Cox of Baldwyn and Brenda Grice of Booneville; one brother, Jerry W. Crockett (Lisa) of Booneville; one grandson, Jace Shinault.
