Sarah Charline Moore, 88, precious mother of Renee, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 29, 2008. The celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. today, May 1, 2008, at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nan Ho Song officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery. Charline was born July 28, 1919, in Booneville to Thomas and Ruby Nicholson. She had six brothers and was the oldest of three sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold M. Moore; brothers, Ray, Morris, Heber, Hobart, Quinn and Ellis; and one sister, Ann Morgan. She was a graduate of Booneville High School Class of 1940. Upon graduation she began working in the local Court House. In 1955 she moved to Jackson and married Arnold Moore. She took a position as a bookkeeper with the Chancery Clerk's office of Hinds County, where she worked for 35 years. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and later Van Winkle Baptist Church for many years. Her main hobby was gardening. She loved planting things and watching them grow. She was a ferocious politician, too - and she had a cat named Sparkey that provided her with many years of love and entertainment. She is survived by one daughter, ReneŽ Moore; a sister, Geraldine Roden; a niece, Carole Davis, who was more like a second daughter; and a family of wonderful nieces and nephews.
